The bag is fashioned of cowhide lined on the inside with an airtight but breathable fabric that precludes the need for seasoning. A zipper along the side of the bag allows entry into a tube watertrap fitted with a water-collecting bottle and sponge. The Bannatyne Hide Zipper bag with moisture retention sleeve provides the under arm feel of a traditional skin bag but with the added enhancements of moisture control. The bag is fitted with an airtight zip, easy to fit rubber collars and a swan neck which provides a comfortable playing position. The water retention sleeve is clean and hygenic and can be easily removed from the bag for drying and cleaning.
