Haggis is a very old Scottish dish, which combines meats, spices and oatmeal to create a very rich, unusual, but none the less delicious feast. Haggis reached literary fame in the words of Scotland’s famous poet, Robert Burns, in the 18th century. The link between Robert Burns and haggis should be mentioned due to the fact that the eating of haggis has become a certain ritual each year on January 25th, Robbie Burns’ birthday.
