This tartan was created especially to honour the late Roy Williamson, writer of both the words and music ofThe Flower of Scotlanda now accepted as being ScotlandÕs National Song. As anationala tartan, it is available for all to wear bearing no affiliation or connection with any clan name. The design is based on the setting and thread count of the Gunn tartan, as worn by Roy Williamson, using the traditional 18th-century colours of Lichen Green and Lochan Blue. The tartan has been accepted by the Scottish Tartan Society, of Comrie in Perthshire and entered in their register of all publicly known tartans.
