The HBT1 is programmed specifically for the Highland Bagpipe and features 2 dedicated tuning modes for the bagpipe scale (Chanter & Drones), an advanced Metronome, Tone Generator and a standard Chromatic mode for conventional instruments. It's very easy to use and an extremely powerful device. The HBT1 is compact, will easily fit in your sporran and is ready to use straight out of the box. The tuner has a large LCD screen which displays the detected note, it's frequency (Hz), a user defined calibration frequency (range of 439-499Hz) and pitch position on a vertical meter with LED lights indicating the note status in relation to the calibrated frequency. Therefore the tuner offers 3 forms of visual feedback to the piper. The HBT1 also has a built-in frequency designed microphone, an additional earphone for the metronome and clip microphone for fine tuning of the pipe chanter in noisy environments. The clip microphone is excellent for chanter notes and can be quickly attached and removed below Low A. The tuner also has the option to add an external microphone, which is ideal for drones. The HBT1 is also capable of Bass and Tenor drum tuning with an external microphone with the added feature of the Tone Generator producing a variable pitch for ultra fine tuning by ear. 2* AAA Batteries are also included and the tuner has an Auto-off function after 5 minutes of being idle with an inbuilt memory so you don't lose your calibration frequency!
